SaskatchewanThe Saskatchewan Council for Exceptional Children (SKCEC) recognizes and supports individuals who wish to pursue a career with exceptional children and youth, as well as the children and youth themselves who have faced challenges. Here is an opportunity to sing the praises of these dedicated unsung heroes through nominations for an award or scholarship. The SKCEC 2009 Scholarships and Awards are described briefly below and the application package is attached:
Academic Scholarship: – a $1250.00 academic scholarship intended to support an individual pursuing a career directly related to working with persons with exceptionalities.
Transition Award: – a $1250.00 award in recognition of an individual who has overcome significant challenges due to a disability in order to achieve his/her goals.
